Hi I’m Patrick Loo

I work across the intersection of architecture, product development and modern methods of construction and help companies align their offerings with the evolving needs of today’s built environment.

At Common Space, I direct bespoke residential and commercial architectural projects that balance design quality with real-world delivery. As Design Consultant for Belcanto, I contributed to the introduction of the Grappler unitised aluminium balcony system to the New Zealand and Australian markets.

I am the Co-Founder of Casett, a modular solid timber kitchen system developed for flexibility and broad appeal. I also served as Strategic AEC Industry Advisor for Renoir, supporting the service development and go-to-market strategies of a visualisation platform tailored for the architecture and design sectors. These roles build on my postgraduate studies in Technology Commercialisation at the University of Auckland.

Prior to this I worked across a range of New Zealand practices, notably Jasmax where I was a Senior Associate, as well as Pac Studio and Monk Mackenzie. On the arts front, I have also contributed to the Auckland Council Rainbow Machine interactive public art project and the experimental design collective Oh.No.Sumo.

I’m always open to conversations about interesting projects, roles and collaborations. If you think my experience or perspective could add value to something you’re working on, I’d love to discuss with you.

Patrick
